Purpose
The main purpose of the role is to understand and assess Vodacom’s Service Management requirements, capture, analyse and document the requirements and manage the communication and delivery of the requirements with internal customers.
To ensure that processes that are implemented are practical and sustainable
To maintain, re-evaluate, optimise and automate existing processes
To drive operational efficiencies in terms of Service Management to support OSS Transformation
To enable/assist with the adoption of processes within the Organization
To interface with any levels of the organisation as required
To understand the technical impact of decisions made, in terms of long term strategy and to participate in Enterprise Systems strategy development
To understand the financial impact and implications of requirements and decisions made, from a Opex and Capex perspective.
To gain an understanding of, and implement best practices from Vodafone, various Vendors and the industry in terms of OSS and IT
To write / oversee the definition of technical specifications, functional specifications, and use cases in line with industry and group wide best practice.
To evaluate new technologies or enhancements to existing technologies through paper evaluation, prototypes, proof of concept and trials.
To maintain sound relationships within the Network and Information Technology groups, suppliers and internal customers.
To provide Business Analysis, driving business analysis projects and initiatives to successful completion/implementation
To provide Testing Support and ensure the overall success of testing, including results verification and release sign-off.
To provide Consultation to Users, Managers, EHODs and Executives
To support innovation through effective research
To create reports and feedback to executive and line management
To Perform Quality Assurance across Business Analysis documentation, Vendor Documentation, Proposals, Test documentation and operational handover documentation
Qualification
3 Year Degree / equivalent Diploma /equivalent Certificate in Information Technology / Business / Project Management (essential), and
ITIL V3 certification (desirable)
5 Years business analysis / systems analysis experience preferably in a highly complex in-house development environment (essential)
OR
Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent (essential), and 1-2 year relevant courses/certificate (essential), and
ITIL V3 certification (essential)
8-10 Years business analysis experience preferably in a highly complex in-house development environment (essential)
