Purpose
Lead the Operations team and ensure that all HR Operations policies/ processes meet business and HR service delivery requirements and remain fit for purpose
Liaise with the HR BPs and HR Specialists and maintain the up to date HR work plan, ensuring the supporting Communications plan and materials are in place and effectively deployed by the Operations team to support effective HR service delivery across all core HR processes and activities
Update and align HR policies, processes and practises with business needs in line with South African labour law legislation, best practise, common frameworks and tools and ensure these are captured in effective ways of working and process flows across HR
Manage the overall delivery of transactional and high volume HR services to all Group Business Units in South Africa, across all people / work levels and ensure the necessary capability is established and maintained in the Operations team across HR policy/ process content, SAP HR technology and a customer service mindset to deliver quality service at low cost.
Provide case management support to the HR BP’s on employee relations issues (e.g. Disciplinaries, grievances, long term sick/absence management and performance issues.
Qualification
Education – An appropriate Bachelors degree, along with an appropriate HR related qualification desirable
Experience – 5 to 8 years’ experience of working in HR, including HR Operations roles essential, including experience of working within a matrixed, global FMCG
Business Acumen –experience of working with commercially aligned corporate business units essential, ideally with experience of the brewery / drinks industry

Communication – good written and numerical skills, strong PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet) essential
Problem Solving – ability to identify the root cause of issues and apply effective problem solving skills essential
Project Management – experience of leading/ participating in projects desirable
Team management/ development – experience of leading and developing teams essential
Leadership – Proven experience and ability to create presence in the business, consulting, and applying advocacy skills as a strategic business partner essential
Stakeholder/ relationship management – experience of building strong relationships with diverse stakeholder groups including managers, HR specialists, HR operations and third parties essential
Technical process expertise – experience of managing HR Operations processes and payroll liaison essential
Analysis & diagnostic investigation – strong analytical ability with diagnostic skills essential
Management of ambiguity – experience of working with ambiguity and delivering effective guidance to others essential
Working knowledge of compensation and benefits policies and tools essential
Working knowledge of laws/regulations relating to the human resources field essential
Experience of employment policy and procedures development and implementation essential
IT Skills – experience of managing HR databases essential, knowledge of SAP HR desirable
