Purpose

Product and concept detailing to Health Care Professionals
Seek and build strategic relations with key contacts and facilitate business development

Maintenance of updated master list, monitor agreed call frequency, ensuring efficiency of coverage

Qualification

Qualified Dietician.
2 – 3 years experience in Paediatrics / Nursing / Dietician
Knowledge of field operations and sales exposure will be advantageous
Must have good planning, organizing, communication and negotiation skills
Must be able to work independently
Must be willing to travel (including trips away from home)
Computer literate and must have a valid/unendorsed driver’s license

Lancet Laboratories is looking to employ individuals with a Grade 12 (Matric) to be part of the 2013/2014 Phlebotomy Learnership Programme on a 2-year fixed term learnership contract, commencing January 2013.

Qualification

Have a valid Grade 12 school leaving certificate with English, Mathematics/Maths Literacy and Life Sciences
Be a South African citizen
Have a good command of the English language (written and verbal)
Have own accommodation in the Gauteng area for the duration of the Learnership

The Western Cape Government: Health offers a limited number of bursaries for full-time study each year in fields where a shortage or scarcity of skills has been identified. The aim of the bursary is to attract suitable candidates with the, required competencies and knowledge in order for them to acquire the necessary skills to join the Department in meeting its service delivery needs.

Bursaries are offered in the following fields:
Degree: Dentistry
Degree: Medicine
Bachelor: Emergency Medical Care
Degree: Pharmacy
National Diploma: Radiography
Degree: Physiotherapy

What Does the Bursary Cover?

Tuition (Actual study fees), registration and examination fees. Should you fail, it is required that you repeat your failed year at your own cost, after which the bursary will be reinstated for the following academic year, provided that you pass the year.

Qualification

To apply for one of these bursaries you must be:
A South African citizen.
Preferably a resident of the Western Cape.
Be accepted or awaiting acceptance at the relevant accredited HEI.
South African citizens wanting to study fulltime.
South African citizens with a June matric result, matric or post matric qualification.

Qualification

Interpersonal skills with the ability to handle conflict situations

Purpose

To anticipate, identify and evaluate occupational health hazards, allocate levels of risk and communicate control measure recommendations. This role also forms the primary contact between the Department of Mineral and Energy and RBM with regards to Occupational Hygiene
Identify and appraise hazardous conditions and practices and scope & action occupational hygiene development requirements.
Develop risk assessments, control methods, procedures and programs to manage company dust risk profile, non ionising radiation, illumination, heat stress, noise and CO Gas monitoring and exposure evaluation
Provide an auditing function of calibration, record keeping and the sampling regime.
Set standards of performance regarding PPE and select the appropriate PPE per area and task.
Design a proper HSC (Hazardous Substance Control) system at the company.
Assist in implementation of the OHSAS1800 system.
Assist with and participate in auditing where applicable.
Maintain and improves safety, health and environmental standards and practices.
Perform fair and reasonable tasks related to the job and working environment at the discretion of the Superintendent.

Qualification

A bachelor Degree in Natural Sciences or related Hygiene qualifications
5 years experience in operational occupational hygiene environment(served prior to registration as Occupational Hygienist) for a heavy industry
Registration with SA Institute for Occupational Hygienists as an Occupational Hygienist
Intermediate certificate in Mine Environment control is essential
Drivers licence: EB.
